In 1965, IBM transferred me to a new plant-site ten miles from Boulder, Colorado. We settled in a small town called Niwot, named after an Indian chief who was left handed. On January 1st 1966, my life changed dramatically, because a Rev. James Maxwell with the General Association of Regular Baptists visited. It was a cold, blustery morning so we invited our guest in to talk. Understand, I was thirty-eight years old, with a scientific engineering background and skeptical about all he told me concerning God and salvation. Despite my personal so-called intellectualism, Rev. Maxwell led me and my family to the Lord and according to the Bible, we were Born Again. Our son attended classes after school at their home and he is a minister of the Gospel in up-state New York.
Although I had made a human commitment, my scientific background forced me to question some things about the Bible. I decided to see for myself if it was true. I read the Bible and everything I could learn about the Bible. Commentaries, archaeological facts and findings and I studied diligently. At first, I was reluctant to give up my non-spiritual culture, my false learning, thoughts and half-truths. Quickly my mind caught up spiritually with my human commitment, I realized the Bible was truly from God. I started reading everything I could about the Bible and became a Sunday School teacher and actually filled in preaching on occasion. Pastor Maxwell became my friend as we helped him build a church called Bethel Baptist in Niwot, Colorado. Pastor Maxwell was very missionary and Gospel minded and he taught me how to witness and many other things.
In 1970, IBM transferred me to another new plant site in Boca Raton, Florida. We could not find a general Association of Regular Baptist Church, so we attended a Southern Baptist Church for awhile. I started attending a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Lake Worth, Florida, because they were very Missionary minded. I was teaching and occasionally doing fill-in preaching there.
In 1981, my wife died and after a period of time I married a Jewish lady, who was a member of the Lake Worth Presbyterian Church in America. In 1984 I had a chance to take early retirement from IBM and attend the Presbyterian Reformed Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, where I received my Masters Degree in 1987.
I became a minister of the Gospel and my first and only church was the Presbyterian Church in America, in Sardis, Mississippi. We served there for four years and in late 1990 we went to Japan as a Church Planter with the Presbyterian Missions. In 1994 my wife died in Japan and I returned to Sardis, Mississippi. I taught Vocational-Tech classes at the Northwest Community College and filled in preaching until I re-married a Professor of General Chemistry instructor at the NorthWest Community College. Shortly after that, The Sardis Presbyterian Church in America needed a minister, so I became the interim preacher for them. I was with the Sardis Presbyterian church for a total of twenty-five years. I retired from the Sardis Presbyterian Church, where they honored me as the Minister Emeritus in 2014.
God has helped me in many ways and thinking back, He helped me even before I was born again. I know He can help you too! May I suggest you consider Jesus as your savior. Reading this book will help you to learn how to receive Jesus as your Lord. Listen to what Paul, an apostle tells us: not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches ... [Everywhere] ... Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (Galatians 1:1-5) (ESV). (Emphasis Added) (ESV). Read and re-read as much as you can in the Bible and about the Bible with different commentaries and you will be blessed beyond your imagination.

"and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches ...
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age,
according to the will of our God and Father,
to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen."

(Galatians 1:2-5) (ESV).
I believe my life story is average, but becomes outstanding when you consider God having blessed me. However, the most important thing happened in 1966. First, a little background. I was attending the University of California when I got drafted in the Korean war. After a stint of two years with the Counter-Intelligence-Corp, I was placed on call for four years. During that time I worked at Westinghouse and Process Engineers. In 1959 I joined IBM as a design engineer and was assigned to the Advanced Technology Department. Our work was at the forefront of the business world in computers, printers, copiers, photo-optic devices and high tech machines. Over twenty-five years of this type work, led to my getting an Outstanding Contribution award , Invention Awards and twenty-five Patent Publications and one Patent, which was the Card Reader. Understand, there were many men and women who were far more intelligent and qualified than I am, but they were not in the right place.
